Holaaaaaaaaa! El dia de hoy les quiero mostrar alguna de las compras que he hecho. Hace unos días recibí un sobrecito rojo para festejar el año nuevo Chino, y decidí comprarme algo nuevo para empezar el nuevo ciclo escolar. Estas son las cosas que compre.

Hellooooo! Today I want to show all of you some of the purchases I've made in the last couple of days. Some days ago I received a very generous red envelope from a family member to celebrate the new year (Chinese new year, that is), and I decided to buy myself a couple of new clothing items to begin the new school year. These are the things I purchased.

Me encantaaaaa esta blusa. Aunque aquí aun no llega el clima caluroso, creo que estará perfecta para la primavera/verano. Esta súper liviana y los tonos blancos y negros la hacen súper usable.

I looooove this top. Even though here, in California, the weather is still cold, I think it will be perfect for both spring and summer. It is very lighweight and the black and white tones makes it extremely wearable.

Llevo mucho tiempo buscando los jeans negros perfectos y ya los encontré. Se sienten super cómodos y lo mejor de todo es que no se enfoca en las partes "negativas." La tela es super stretch lo cual hace que se mueva contigo y se amolde perfecto a tu cuerpo. Si estas considerando comprar estos jeans, lo que recomiendo es que compres una talla menos ya que son un poco generosos. :D

I have been looking for the perfect black jeans for ever, and I finally found them. They are EXTREMELY comfortable and they do do not focus on those problem areas that some other stretchy pants emphasize. The stretch material allows the pants to mold to your body and move with you. If you are considering purchasing these jeans, however, I recommend that you try/order one size down because they do run a little generous. :D

Yo se que muchas de ustedes ya han visto que están de moda los pantalones de color y pues estos me llamaron mucho la atención ya que el negro los hace menos llamativos. La marca Source of Wisdom es mi favorita, ya que son muy cómodos y la mayoría de sus jeans se amoldan perfecto a mi cuerpo.

A lot of you have already noticed that colored jeans are extremely "in," so when I saw these ones I decided to try them on. I liked that they have a "black" undertone, which, from my perspective, makes them more wearable. Source of Wisdom, in general, makes my favorite jeans because most of them have a very fitting fit. I have not seen these jeans on torrid.com, however, they are in stores.

Estoy súper feliz de haber encontrado este suéter. Hace aproximadamente un año compre uno igual la linea normal de I.N.C (una marca que puedes encontrar en Macy's) y aunque aun me queda bien, me gustaría que me quedara un poco mas suelto, así que cuando vi que lo habían vuelto a sacar y en su linea de ropa "plus" pues lo compre, y lo mejor fue que estaba en especial! :D

I' am extremely happy to have found this jacket. About a year ago I purchased this same jacket in their regular size and I love it, however, it is extremely fitted and I wanted to have one that was more loose, so when I saw that they had re-released it in their plus-size, I decided to buy it. The best thing was that it was on sale! You can find I.N.C @ Macy's.

El dia de hoy les traigo swatches de estas sombras en crema llamadas Color Tattoo de Maybelline. 

Yo tengo siete de ellas y la verdad me han gustado mucho. Estas sombras han sido comparadas con las Paint Pot de MAC. No puedo hacer una buena comparación por que no tengo mas que tres de ellas en colores semi-neutros, pero lo que si puedo decir es que estas sombras de Maybelline pigmentan un poco mas que un Paint Pot y, en contraste a las de MAC, pueden ser utilizadas como sombra y no solo como base para las sombras en polvo. 

Maybelline Clama que estas sombras, al utilizarlas solas, son de alta durabilidad (24 hrs para ser exactas), y aunque si duran mucho tiempo, a mi no me duran mas de seis horas con pre-base. Yo tengo el párpado muy graso, así que seis horas para mi es mucho. Como base para sombras estas sombras en crema son geniales ya que incrementan la intensidad de la sombra que pongas arriba. Ami me han gustado mucho.

Siempre había querido comprar mas Paint Pots de MAC, pero se me hacían un poco caras (17.50 USD), así que cuando probé la primera de estas sombras y me gusto, pues decidí comprar otras mas. Llevo dos semanas usandolas y me gustan bastante. Si tienes el párpado seco creo que estas sombras en crema te servirán mucho. Pigmentan súper bien y el precio es súper accesible. Yo compre las mías en ULTA donde estaban a compra una y la otra a mitad de precio. Es una forma excelente de ahorrar! Lo unico malo que puedo decir es que no tienen una amplia selección de colores en mate, de hecho solo tienen uno. Las demás son en acabado nacarado o con brillitos.

Today I wanted to show you swatches of the Maybelline Color Tattoo 24 hr Cream Shadows. I have seven of them and I can truly say that I'm in love. These eyeshadows have been compared a lot to the MAC Paint Pot. I cannot do a good comparison because I have very few Pain Pots; however, I can say that, in contrast to the Paint Pot, these shadows are more pigmented and they can be used as shadows, not only as bases. 

Maybelline Claims that these cream shadows are long lasting, and that they have a 24 hr durability, but on my oily eyelids these shadows only lasted for about six hours WITH a primer. As a base for regular eyeshadows, they work great. Because they are already very pigmented, the intensity of the eyeshadows you put on top increases by A LOT! 

I had always wanted to buy more MAC Paint Pots, but at 17.50 USD, I was not willing to purchase colors that I was not going to use on a regular basis; therefore, when I tried the first Color Tattoo and loved it, I immediately purchased more. I recommend purchasing at Ulta during their buy one, get one half off deal. 

Overall, these cream shadows have great pigmentation, they have a great price, and if you have dry eyelids these can work great as regular eyeshadows. The only thing I did not like is that most shadows are shimmery. I would like to see a greater selection of  matte shadows in the future.

El dia de hoy les traigo este post improvisado. Entre las enfermedades y el trabajo no he podido dedicarle el tiempo necesario a este blog (ni al otro jeje), pero espero pronto poder hacerlo! El día de hoy solo salí por mandado, así que no me arregle mucho pero quería aprovechar para tomarme estas fotos. Cuando era pequeña usaba mucho las botas pero no se por que deje de usarlas, hasta hace poco que me compre estas. Creo que el cafe no es mi color favorito, pero ni modo, ya las estrene jeje :P A ustedes que les parece?

Today I bring you guys an improvised post. I ran some errands in the morning; therefore, the lack of "put-togetherness" (if that's even a word lol). Between my work and the horrible cold I had, I had been unable to post any updates here; however, that is why I wanted to take this quick pictures. I used to love boots when I was younger; however, I don't know why I stopped using them, until now! I bought these boots at Torrid, they had been in my closet for some time and I decided to use them today. I'm not sure I love the brown on me, but I guess I will have to keep them because I already used them hehe, what do you girls think?

♚Revlon Lip Butters♚

En estas ultimas semana, o mas bien en este ultimo mes, el mundo de YouTube ha estado lleno de reseñas de estos labiales de Revlon. Lo que los hace especiales es su formula, ya que dicen ser humectantes y con una buena pigmentación. El 99% de las reseñas que vi fueron positivas, así que el otro día que por fin los encontré decidí comprarme uno. La verdad quería comprarme mas, ya que todo mundo dijo que eran lo máximo.

Desgraciadamente, a mi no me gustaron estos Lip Butters (literalmente mantequilla para los labios). Al ponertelo en los labios se desliza con mucha suavidad pero en cuanto pasa el efecto, deja una sensacion de resequedad, lo cual hace que tenga que seguir humectando mis labios. Después de un día de prueba, no me quedaron ganas de seguir usandolo ya que me reseco mucho los labios. A la semana le di otra oportunidad, y me volvió a pasar lo mismo. 

Así que mi veredicto es el siguiente:

Precio: 7-8 USD 

Lo Bueno:

-Te da una covertura de "sheer" a mediana y dura mas que un balsamo

-Se siente ligero en los labios

-El empaque es muy bonito

Lo Malo: 

-Muy poco producto y mucho dinero

-Se siente muy "grasoso" 

-No dura mucho en los labios

-Este color en particular es muy ligero y no me da nada de color

-Reseca los labios

Cabe mencionar que esta es solo mi experiencia así que lo que recomiendo es que antes de salir a comprar en grandes cantidades, como varias personas que se dejan llevar por las reseñas lo han hecho, pues compren uno y vean si la formula les funciona. También recomiendo que compren un color mas obscuro ya que este no se nota casi nada en mi.

During the last couple of weeks (more like a month lol) the Youtube community has hyped the Revlon Lip Butter product, to the point where many people have gone out and purchased 2-5 (from what I have seen) in one instant. Many people love these lip butters; however, I'm sad to say that it has not been my experience. I purchased one about two weeks ago, and I'm going to be honest, i was tempted to purchase more, but I did not have any cash at the moment, so I restrained myself to purchasing only one, a decision I do not regret. 

I purchased the Lip Butter in Cotton Candy, which does not show very well on me. In order to get some color payoff I needed to apply several "coats" of it, which left my lips feeling greasy. After the effect of the lip butter had gone away, I felt my lips dry and I needed to re-apply ASAP, a sensation I hate with any lip product. After a week, I gave it another try. After all, everyone that I had seen on YouTube loved them and I felt like I was the one with a problem; however, I had the same experience I had the first time I had tried it. 

Therefore, my verdict is as follows:

Price: 7-8 USD 

The Good:

-It gives you a sheer to medium coverage

-It feels light on the lips

-It has great packaging  

The Bad: 

-I feel like there is not a lot of product for the price

-I personally do not like the consistancy 

-It feels a little greasy on the lips

-It does not last on the lips

-This color, in particular, is very light and does not show up at all on my lips. It just gives a shine.

-It dried my lips

I do have to mention that this is only MY experience. What I recommend is that before you go crazy and purchase 2 or more, buy one and see if the consistency works for you. Also, try a color that looks darker in the packaging, because since they are very "lip-balmish," the color will be sheer.

Hola Chic@s! He estado un poco ausente pero el dia de hoy les traigo swatches de mi esmalte favorito. Lo super recomiendo. Aqui lo estoy usando solo pero también se ve bien usando de base un esmalte de color. Si te gusta el esmalte de "Teenage Dream" de OPI, este es tambien te va a encantar. 

Y como pequeño dato, desde hoy este blog será bilingüe :D Muchas chicas han comentado que visitan el blog aunque no entiendan nada, así que decidí hacer las entradas en ingles y español para que igual lo disfruten! :D
