Mi jardín es muy grande. Aun nos falta mucho trabajo para que nos quede como lo envisionamos cuando nos mudamos a esta casa hace muchos años. Nosotros, como muchas personas, aveces no le damos el mantenimiento debido a nuestro jardín ya que se requiere dinero y tiempo.
Muchas de ustedes que ven mis vlogs seguido saben que el Bigotes (mi novio) y yo siempre andamos asando salchichas. O.k, no siempre, pero si muy seguido jaja, admito que aveces se nos queman. Hace unas semanas se "murió" mi asador y me dije "Ale, auto regalate un nuevo asador y aunque no puedas cambiar todo tu jardín, trabaja en una pequeña area que sea tu espacio para cocinar, que lo haga ver mas vivo, y que incite a pasar mas tiempo con la familia."
Así que ese es mi propósito para este mes. Espero que me quede bien! (pongamos changuitos). Ya que termine ese proyecto les mostrare como me quedo. Creo que si empezamos a trabajar en espacios pequeños nuestro proyecto grande de re-diseñar el jardín sera aun mas fácil por que no nos vamos a estresar por el dinero o por el tiempo.
Si tu, como yo, has descuidado tu jardín, empieza a trabajar en el como yo, en pequeñas partes. Ah, y no olvides involucrar a la familia. Es cierto que siempre hay alguien que se le facilita mas hacer la jardinería, o la lavandería, y todo eso. En mi familia siempre nos dividimos los quehaceres, pero la verdad es que la jardinería es un momento en el que nos podemos unir, aprender, y lo mas importante convivir con nuestros familiares y/o amigos.
Yo la verdad no se nada sobre jardinería pero se que con la guía de mi papá, que es el experto, vamos a poder agregar algunas plantitas que harán que la parte del jardín en la que trabajaremos se vea mas viva y que este lista para nuestras reuniones familiares ahora que viene el verano y podemos hacer mas actividades al aire libre.
Actualmente tenemos muchas plantas del "desierto" (que no requieren mucha agua). Es muy importante que usemos los productos adecuados para el tipo de plantas que plantemos. Para este proyecto saque nuestra bolsa de SCOTTS MIRACLE-GRO Sustrato para cactus, palmas y cítricos.
Mi papa usa mucho la marca Miracle Gro y es en la que confía ya que ayuda a que ayuda a mantener nuestras plantas saludables. Por eso tal vez valla a Walmart a comprar el MIRACLE-GRO Shake and Feed, el cual es un producto que ayuda a las plantas a crecer mas sanas.

Uff.... ahora viene lo difícil, poner manos a la obra. En cuanto termine este proyecto les estaré compartiendo fotos del resultado final. Ya quiero ponerle un toque chic a el espacio y agregarle mas color. Se que mi mama también quiere ver el patio mas colorido. Ya quiero empezar a disfrutar en familia de las reuniones familiares y con amigos! Pero antes, a trabajar para que sea mas presentable y bonito para nuestros invitados, pero primordialmente, para nosotros!

How many of you have multiple gardening projects that have yet to begin? If I ask you to take a photo of your lawn/garden right now would you do it? Would you be proud of it? If you answered no, then we are in the same boat.
My "garden" is huge and we have yet to start making it our own, even after living in this house for many years. Like many people, we sometimes neglect our garden because to do everything that we want to do, we need time and money.
Many of you that watch my daily vlogs know that my boyfriend and I tend to use the grill often. A few weeks ago our old grill literally died. It collapsed! RIP grill! When that happened, I said to myself "Ale, you need to auto-gift yourself a grill for your Birthday and, even though you cannot change everything that you want to change in your garden, start in small section that will make your grill space (family space) more vivid and that will incite all of us in the family to gather around that space."
So, that's this month's resolution. I really hope it comes out well. Let's cross our fingers. When I'm done with that project, I will share the before and after photos. I think that if we all begin working on smaller spaces, our big project will feel less difficult or impossible, because we will not worry about time or money as we will be doing it a little at a time.
If you, like me, have neglected your garden, begin working on it like me, in small parts. Oh, and don't forget to involve your family or friends. Hard work can feel less daunting if we make it fun. It is true that when you live with our family, we often delegate certain shores to certain people; however, gardening is a time where the whole family can unite to help each other, learn, and most importantly spend time together.
Honestly, I do not know anything about gardening, but with my dad's guidance I know we will be able to finish this small project successfully. Summer is rapidly approaching so we need to hurry and prepare so that we can start enjoying time together outside.
Currently our garden consists of "desert" plants because they require less maintenance. However, that does not mean that we can neglect them completely. It is important to look for products that will benefit the particular plants you are using. For this project I'm going to use a bag of SCOTTS MIRACLE-GRO Cactus, Palm, and Citrus Potting Mix to add some more to my existing plants.

Uff! now comes the hard part, getting to work! When I'm done with this project, I will make sure to share before and after photos with you. So stay tuned. I cannot wait to put a chic twist to our "desert like" garden. Summer is all about fun colors and I know my mom also hopes to make it look more vivid! I cannot wait to start enjoying summer with my family and friends. But first, we need to get together to make it more inviting for our guests and ourselves.
