Theres a saying in Spanish that says: cada cosa se parece a su dueño! I'm not sure if there is an exact equivalent translation in English, but the literal translation is "everything looks like its owner." I'm reminded of that saying every day because Vicky and I share a lot of similar interests. Since the day we met, we clicked immediately. Vicky is a lot like me, she likes fashion and she enjoys looking cute every day. She loves coming out on my vlogs, wearing dresses, and going to the store. She is my companion and my bundle of joy. There is one thing, however, that we do not share, and it is her disgust for the mailman and the paletero (ice cream man) who sometimes passes by our house ringing his bell. I like paletas (lollipops) and I love the mailman, especially when she brings me packages from my online orders hehe.
Like me, Vicky is also very picky with food. That is why I always try to change her food once in a while so that she doesn't get bored. Since she is a small dog (although she believes she is a Pitbull), I try to choose dry food that comes in small bites; otherwise, she will not eat it. For her, the smaller, the better.
On my recent Target visit I saw the Beneful Chicken Incredibites, which are perfect for Vicky because they come in super small pieces, and are perfect for her size. Our pets depend on us to help them maintain a healthy life, and it is our duty as pet parents to look for the appropriate food for them. It is also our duty to take them out every day for walks so that they can do their necessary exercise. Plus, it helps our health too! For me, taking her out for a walk is not something that I dread, it is something that I enjoy. I like seeing her run free at the park and play with other dogs. It is then when I notice the benefits, or lack thereof, of her food. Some food can make her feel heavy and that is something you do not want for your pet.
At home we also try to keep her active. She has many toys to choose from and we play together all the time. Vicky loves those small toys that have a noisy "bag" inside of them. Since Target has everything that you need for your personal needs and those of your dog, I also bought her a new toy because, just like we like to have updated gadgets, our pets like to get new toys once in a while too.
A lot of people may say that Vicky is a little spoiled, but the truth is that I'm only giving back to her a little bit of the happiness she provides us. Some of you who follow my daily vlogs know that she is a huge part of our family. She goes almost everywhere with us, including Tecate, where she enjoys visiting her cousins on the other side of the border and eating water based ice cream.
Overall, Vicky is like a daughter to me. We bond in many ways, but one of them is through fashion. Today I want to honor my best friend, my fashion companion and the first Latina fashion blogger Chiweenie!

Por ahi dicen que "cada cosa se parece a su dueño" y yo creo fielmente en ese dicho. Desde que nos conocimos Vicky y yo encajamos inmediatamente. Ella, tal como yo, ama la moda y le gusta verse guapa. Le encanta salir en mis videos, ponerse vestidos, y salir a las tiendas. Realmente es mi compañera y el alegría de la casa. Aunque si debo confesar que hay algo que no compartimos, y eso es el disgusto por el cartero o el paletero que pasa con su campanita. Para mi, cuando llega el correo es el momento mas feliz del día. Bueno, solo cuando recibo alguna compra que pedi por internet jeje.Otra cosa en la que nos parecemos es en la comida. Vicky es super quisquillosa a la hora de comer y no come cualquier cosa. Yo tampoco! Por eso siempre tengo mucho cuidado con la comida que escojo para ella y trato de cambiarla de vez en cuando para que no se aburra. Como Vicky es pequeña (aunque, aquí entre nos, ella se cree un Pitbull), trato de escoger comida seca que venga en tamaños chicos ya que de otra forma no se la come. Para ella, entre mas pequeñas sean sus croquetas, mejor.
En mi reciente visita a Target encontré la comida Incredibites sabor pollo de Beneful, la cual es perfecta para Vicky ya que viene en pedazos pequeños, tal como le gusta a ella. Nuestras mascotas dependen de nosotros para ayudarlas a mantenerse saludables, y es nuestro deber como padres de mascotas buscar la comida apropiada para ellos. También es nuestro deber sacarlos a pasear para que ellos puedan correr y hacer el ejercicio necesario. Ademas, el caminar también nos ayuda a nosotros! Para mi el sacarla a pasear no es una molestia, es el momento ideal para convivir con ella, jugar, ver como disfruta del aire libre, y como juega con otros perritos. Es ahi donde me doy cuenta si su comida esta siendo efectiva, ya que ciertas comidas pueden hacer que se sienta pesada.
La actividad fisica no es solo para cuando sale al parque; en casa le tengo juguetes con los que jugamos juntas y con los cuales se distrae un poco. Vicky ama los juguetes pequeños que tienen como "bolsitas" adentro. Por eso aproveche que Target tiene de todo y le compre un nuevo juguete. ¿A quien mas le pasa que cada que esta en la tienda tiene que pasar a ver si hay algo para su mascota? Yo soy culpable de eso, pero es imposible no pensar en ella cuando salgo de compras.
Muchos dirán que Vicky es una consentida, pero yo solo le regreso un poquito de toda la felicidad que ella me brinda! Muchos de ustedes que siguen mi vlog saben que Vicky es una gran parte de la familia. Por eso, cada que podemos la llevamos con nosotros a todos lados, como a Tecate donde disfruta de conocer a sus primos del otro lado de la frontera y de las nieves de agua.
Por eso, el día de hoy quiero honrar a Vicky, mi compañera de moda y la primera perrita Latina bloggera jaja! Vicky y yo esperamos que les guste su atuendo y no olviden contarnos sus experiencias con sus mascotas!
